At CedarNorth Dental, we strongly encourage our patients to keep up with their regular checkups. All patients should visit the dentist at least two times per year.

The CedarNorth Dental team offers complete checkups which include professional cleanings, full examinations, traditional X-rays including intraoral pictures as well as a complete oral cancer screening.

What To Expect At Your CedarNorth Regular Checkup:

Professional cleaning and polishing: The CedarNorth Dental team includes the very best dental hygienists who will use dental instruments to gently and thoroughly clean and polish your teeth.
Education: After the cleaning, your hygienist may give you some tips to help address any dental issues you are dealing with.
Examination: Both your dental hygienist and dentist will examine your teeth, gums, and mouth, to look for changes or signs of a problem (for example, a cavity or gum disease or early signs of oral cancer).
X-rays: We use both X-rays and an intraoral camera to ensure any emerging issues are caught early.

Things To Discuss With Your CedarNorth Dental Team During Your Regular Checkup:

Be sure to tell your dentist about any health problems you are dealing with especially conditions such as diabetes and heart disease.
Inform your dentist of all medications you take both prescribed and over the counter. Don’t forget to list supplements and vitamins.
If you have fear, anxiety or a sensitive mouth, communicate your feelings to the dentist. We offer sedation dentistry, and our spa-like setting with warm towels and flat screen TVs in our patient rooms helps to relax most patients.
